DRIP IRRIGATION

what is drip irrigation;

Drip irrigation is a method of irrigating crops by allowing water to trickle the root zone directly therefore minimizing water and ensure each crop is well watered.

How do our driplines work

our dripline come with emitters that are either single or double.with the emitters placed according to the spacing of the crop the driplines are able to allow water to trickle slowly to the root zone of the crop
what is the ideal spacing for the driplines
our driplines come in spacing of 15cm,20cm and 30cm however we also customise upto 60cm spacing depending with the client and the crop he is doing

How to start drip irrigation

Land preparation

once you as a farmer has prepared the field to the required tilth we recommend creation of 1 meter bed as this is where we will lay the dripline
also note a footpath of around 30cm should be left between the beds
determine the source of water that will be feeding the driplines once laid and we advise the farmer to set a tank and elevate it so that the water can flow using gravity from the tank set up the mainline connection and lay them in the trenches as mainline and submains

Connect and install the raisers

lay the driplines and connect them with the raiser
finally open the water connection and run the water in the farm.
What spacing is ideal for different crops
for garlic onions and carrots we recommed 15cm dripline spacing
kale, broccoli hoho or capsicum spinach and peppers 20cm dripline spacing
for watermelon and cabbages 30cm spacing is the ideal one
what are some advantage of using drip irrigation
no more leaching with drip irrigation more nutrients are preserved
increased productivity as more concentration is on the root zone
reduced labour costs as there will be no manual labour required
water conservation as water consumption is reduced by 50%

what is the cost of drip irrigation

1acre @150000
Half an acre @75000
Quarter an acre @35000

BUTTON DRIPPER IRRIGATION

Button dripper irrigation is specifically for fruit and biannual crops.crops that are sparsely spaced use button dripper to meet their water needs
Our button dripper come in flow rate of 4litres per hour to 72 litres per hour

POP UP SPRINKLER IRRIGATION

This type of irrigation is ideal for lawns and gardens and golf courses.
They are installed underground and work with pressure rotating 360 so they water a space a specified time.

OVERHEAD IRRIGATION

Here we have raingun sprinklers and impact sprinkler

Impact sprinkler raingun sprinkler
Available in 1’’,2’’ 1.5’’
They operate in high pressure and high water volume .
For this to work the farmer needs to be advised on the best pump to work with so as to meet the pressure required.

RAINHOSE KITS

Rainhose is a high pressure irrigation system that uses uniformly distributed holes to spray the water across a specific distance
